Built by E.W. Grove, the visionary and creator of the Grove Park Inn, the Grove Arcade opened in 1929 and thrived until World War II as one of the country's leading public markets. The historically renovated Grove Arcade reopened to the public in 2002 as a destination featuring boutique shopping, exciting dining and regional crafts in a beloved downtown architectural wonder.

Hours The Grove Arcade is open Monday thru Saturday 10am-6pm and noon - 5pm on Sundays. Restaurants are open earlier and/or later depending on the establishment.

National Gingerbread House Competition Entries on display at the Grove Arcade

The Grove Arcade is pleased to be partnering again with The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa to display entries from the National Gingerbread House Competition. Following the competition, 35 whimsical entries will be displayed together in Suite 115 in a Winter Wonderland setting. Viewing hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Arcade merchants also sponsor a series of free holiday performances. Check the calendar for the schedule. December 4 - FIRST FRIDAY

The December First Friday concert is a wonderful way to kick off your holiday celebrating with friends. Singer and guitarist Chris Rhodes will be performing a combination of originals and cover versions of R&B, blues, jazz and pop tunes. With the building decked out for the holidays and the gingerbread houses on view in Suite 115, First Friday is a wonderful way to start your weekend. The Arcade shops and the WCCJ Holiday Market will be open for your holiday gift buying. The merchants are delighted to host this series of concerts that supports local businesses. Make your plans to join the seasonal fun on Friday, December 4th. A $1 donation per person is requested.

Saturday parking is $1.00 all day at the Rankin Parking Garage, $2.00 all day at Wall Street, and $1.00 all day at the Civic Center Parking Garage (unless a Civic Center event occurs).
