Built by E.W. Grove, the visionary and creator of the Grove Park Inn, the Grove Arcade opened in 1929 and thrived until World War II as one of the country's leading public markets. The historically renovated Grove Arcade reopened to the public in 2002 as a destination featuring boutique shopping, exciting dining and regional crafts in a beloved downtown architectural wonder.
Hours
The Grove Arcade is open Monday thru Saturday 10am-6pm and noon - 5pm on Sundays. Restaurants are open earlier and/or later depending on the establishment.

February 5 - FIRST FRIDAY - MOTOWNBLUE POSTPONED
Concert will now take place March 6 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The February First Friday concert, featuring funky Motown music from MotownBlue, has been postponed due to inclement and unpredictable weather headed toward Asheville this weekend. Motownblue, led by our own "singing security guard" William Stafford (pictured), will now perform on Saturday, March 6, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in conjunction with the Arcade's March Madness sale. Motownblue will be performing tunes by hit-makers such as Stevie Wonder, BB King, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye and more. Vocalist William Stafford will be joined by Allan Greene on bass, David Tarpley on guitar and Roger Parkinson on drums. Boogie down while you support local businesses!

Valentine's Weekend - February 12 and 13
On Friday, February 12, and Saturday, February 13, the historic downtown Asheville building will be bursting with sales, specials, gift ideas and more to help you show your sweetie just how much you care. Put your lips into it and participate in “Kissing to the Chimes”? Pucker up with other romantically inclined couples on the stroke of 5 p.m. on Friday, February 12, or Saturday, February 13, just as more than a hundred clocks chime at Tic-n-Time in the North Arcade. Put your kisser to good use and enjoy the free champagne toast that will be the Arcade’s gift to you for joining in this fun way to start your Valentine’s celebration.
To show their appreciation for your patronage, the merchants are sponsoring prize drawing during the weekend. Any visitor spending $25 or more in any shop or restaurant on Friday will be entered into a drawing for a beautiful Arcade gift basket. Visitors spending $25 or more in any shop or restaurant on Saturday will be entered into a drawing for a $250 Grove Arcade gift certificate. Shop to your heart’s content and you could be a winner. FREE! M-F 10am-7pm at the Wall Street, Rankin, and Civic Center parking garages.
Saturday parking is $1.00 all day at the Rankin Parking Garage, $2.00 all day at Wall Street, and $1.00 all day at the Civic Center Parking Garage (unless a Civic Center event occurs).
