Into My Space - Paintings & Drawings by Renee Whisnant opened Thursday, January 19th at The Fine Arts League Gallery, Suite 115.
Renee Whisnant grew up in Morganton, North Carolina and started her art education when her mom, Quteen Whisnant, sent her to study art with Frances Hairfield . After finishing school at Western Piedmont Community College, Frances directed Renee to attend the Fine Arts League of the Carolinas. “I believe art is not merely a visual documentation of a subject, but an emotional one as well. But, in order for one to express those emotions; one must rigorously study in the same method of those artists which came before them.“
